On the 6th of July there will be a reading by Geetanjali Shree, who became the first Hindi author to win the prestigious International Booker Prize for the English translation of her novel „Tomb of Sand“ in 2022. The novel revolves around an eighty-year-old middle-class woman who falls into depression after the death of her husband but regains the courage to face life. Together with her daughter, she crosses the border between India and Pakistan in search of her first husband and connections to her earlier life before the partition in 1947.
