MPI MMG in Dialogue: “Superdiversity and the dynamics of diversification”, 19.04.2023
Am Mittwoch, 19.04.2023, wird das Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung multireligiöser und multiethnischer Gesellschaften Gastgeber einer Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema: Superdiversität (in Englisch) sein.
Interessierte sind herzlich eingeladen, via livestream oder live am Institut daran teilzunehmen, um sich an der Diskussion zu beteiligen.
Die Diskussionsteilnehmer*innen lauten wie folgt:
- Junjia Ye (Technische Universität Nanyang, Singapur)
- Darshan Vigneswaran (Universität zu Amsterdam)
- Peter Scholten (Erasmus Universität Rotterdam)
- Steven Vertovec (MPI-MMG)
- Megha Amrith als Moderatorin (‘Ageing in a Time of Mobility’, MPI-MMG)
Dieses wird die 5. Runde der ‘In Dialogue‘ Reihe des MPI-MMG sein und die Einführung in Steven Vertovec’s neues Buch Superdiversity: Migration and Social Complexity markieren, das Open Access hier verfügbar ist.
Bei diesem Event werden die Teilnehmer*innen das Konzept der Superdiversität diskutieren und sich auch die Diversifikationsprozesse und ihre Effekte in weltweiten Zusammenhängen anschauen.

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023 the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity will host a panel discussion on „Superdiversity“ (in English). Interested persons are cordially invited to join via livestream or live at the institute and get involved in the discussion.
The panelists will be:

This will be the fifth round of the MPI-MMG ‘In Dialogue’ series and will mark the launch of Steven Vertovec’s new book Superdiversity: Migration and Social Complexity, which is available Open Access here.
In this event, the panel will discuss the concept of superdiversity and also look at diversification processes and their effects across contexts worldwide.
